A simple, undistinguished home in Westport’s Greens Farms was transformed into a lavish weekend home. By extending the house around a drive court the house acknowledged the idea that cars are indeed the way we get from home to home. Built by the owner, who owned an exhibit and production firm, each room became a study in style. The den was a rustic insertion in a deep blue space; the living room was a cool take on theatrical spaces; the facades responded to the context of the vertical front and horizontal rear.

Custom furniture was created for this couple… before they had children. The Montana Sink, named for their first child, was fine, but the aluminum saw edge coffee table was put in storage for a few years.
